Chapter 10

Alternity - Chapter 11

Epilogue

Tyr was reclining on the bed in the stateroom that had been assigned to him. He was feeling very pleased with himself. Things had gone exceptionally well. Mr. Howard was no longer among the living, and he would be getting the remainder of his fee. More importantly Captain Hunt seemed to trust him, at least to a limited extent. Over the next few months he would insure that the Captain's trust in him increased.

Dylan had been furious when the boy had killed Howard, but Tyr had defended the young man. The boy had done the right thing. Injured and slipping in and out of consciousness, he had taken the necessary measures to ensure that he would survive. To have survived on Earth meant his genes were sound; it was good that he was a father. There was steel in the boy; there was steel in all of the Valentine Pride, but it was untempered steel, steel that needed to be forged before the pride could be all that it could be. He hoped that when the time came and he implemented his plans they would make the right choice. It would be a pity if he had to kill them.
